by Andreas Reissnauer (15.05.2009) Methedras are mostly unknown over here, but in their home country of Italy, they're already on the musical map. Two self-released albums and support slots for such well-known bands as Entombed, Tankard, Carnal Forge, and Dismember speak for themselves, too. Plus, they've already played on prestigious Wacken festival, even if it was just in the newcomer tent. This is Methedras' third album - and the work and experience of the last years pays off: professionally arranged songs performed by versatile musicians, produced with clout, leave you stunned. The quintet is devoted to sheer Thrash and knows how to deliver the goods. They're influenced by Bay Area heroes like Exodus and Testament, but may also get a whiff of some Swedish stuff Γ la Carnal Forge, Construcdead, or Terror 2000. The vocals are a perfect fit for that, being so deep that they're sometimes drifting toward Death Metal. Well done!
