"Is Survived By" is the third album from the melodic hardcore band from Los Angeles. It shows that the band, based around vocalist Jeremy Bolm has significantly matured. At first the sound may seem familiar - and yet one will feel a slight rumble, more complex and moving than all of the bands previous releases. These are no love songs revelling in the past, but songs about life here and now. At the same time the guitar work of Clayton Stevens and Nick Steinhardt reaches a new level, while the explosive rhythm section consisting of Tyler Kirby and Elliot Babin sets the pace. Brad Wood is sitting behind the mixing desk (Smashing Pumpkins, Sunny Day Real Estate). For fans of At The Drive In, American Nightmare, Against Me!, Envy, Las Dispute and Title Fight.
