14.Still Believe (Eu Bonus Track)
by Matthias Mader (27.06.2007) And again the calling goes: "This is Boston, not L.A." The Unseen come from the Eastern metropolitan socio culturally stamped by Irish immigrants and although they had already been ten years late for the real Boston Hardcore sound, by the time of the band's foundation you can still hear the ‘sound of the city'. "Internal salvation" is already the sixth album of the guys from Massachusetts and the guys are correspondingly hard-boiled. Blind speed passages or recycled Metal riffs are clearly infra dig for The Unseen. Songs like "Such tragedy" and "Torn and shattered" are traditional, pure Hardcore/Punk, midtempo-paced and very crunchy. Marks (pressed) vocals have a high re-reconnaissance value and (fortunately) appear diametrically opposed to the current genre conventions. "Still believe", by the way, is no cover of the 7 Seconds song but the band is very close to that very spirit….
