Excellent Service

Comes as a re-release as a black double LP edition (180g/gatefold format).

There has been an enormous development for 'Apocalyptica' between their debut 'Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos' and the second output 'Inquisition Symphony'. This becomes particularly apparent when listening to the first compositions Harmageddon, Toreador, and M.B. But also the cover versions on 'Inquisition Symphony' are great.

by Janosch (null) Two years ago we heard about Apocalyptica for the first time, and we were enthusiastic! Unfortunately it took a long time until the debut was also available in Germany.Meanwhile the Finns already had a good 100 live gigs all around the globe in front of more than 500,000 listeners. "Inquisition symphony" still contains a couple of Metallica cover-versions ("One", "Nothing else matters", "Fade to black" and "For whom the bell tolls"), but now also songs written by Faith No More, Sepultura (!!!) AND by themselves.... The three own compositions are dynamic, catchy and fit the concept. Apocalyptica show how contemporary, modern music sounds on classic instruments. Probably commercially successful but without being pally! Wouldn't it be cool if Metallica covered Apocalyptica soon? They would, at any rate, have three killer songs on their album, that would make my tears flow like waterfalls. All in all this album is an enormous improvement: both in sound and in production-works. Give it to me!!!
