"Infiltrate destroy rebuild" CD by CKY

by Lothar Landt (12/02) Since 4 years, CKY from Pennsylvania work on their career, "Infiltrate destroy rebuild" is their third album. Before that, they released "Volume 1" and "Volume 2", a double album. The guys around guitarist, main writer and producer, Chad Ginsburg have the right sense for melodies and know how to rock. The tens songs are securely composed and underpin the identity that the quartet has built around themselves. Singer Deron Miller has a concise voice with re-reconnaissance value, the riffs rock without being aggressive - "Infiltrate destroy rebuild" is an obviously well-structured album. The opener, "Escape from Hellview" convinces by it's intensity, while "Flesh into gear" represents the dark side of the band. "Sink into the underground" is full of mood and haunting, while "Frenetic amnesic" has all qualities for a single release. "Infiltrate destroy rebuild" is a very well done album that will convince you, too. in the U.S., CKY will be touring with Guns'n'Roses, I hope they will find their way over the pond afterwards so that we can witness their live-qualities, too.
