10.In safer places
by Marcel Anders (22.10.2008) They hail from Bamberg, call themselves DD Windisch, T. van Guzyfer, Mr. 65,2 % and Prince Charts, wear black and have already been on tour with Electric Eel Shock, The Queers, Adolescents, Dwarves and The Damned. Between that, they have recorded their new, third album: a work well done! 10 tracks within 30 minutes, loaded with dynamic guitar anthems, with harmony, singing for several voices, great licks and a knack for the right mixture of catchiness and toughness. Their idols are no secret: The Ramones, Stray Cats, Beatsteaks, but also Blink 182 have left their marks on them. But the Nuns are on top of their game when they do their own stuff - for example in "Find you", they do not just step on it, but have some interesting sounds and classy melodies to offer too. You can easily make out the influences in "Now that I know" (Blink 182) and "In safer places" (The Ramones), though, but the four have their hearts at the right place and they rock - with passion and soul.
