How do you transfer a state-of-the-art Pro-Tools recording with millions of different tracks onto a piece of plastic and create sonic greatness?' With the lockdown, OPETH mastermind Mikael Akerfeldt finally found the time to unite 'a team of music nerds,' as he describes it, to ponder the question of how they could produce a Vinyl master of 'In Cauda Venenum' that sounds as superior as Akerfeldt's favorite records from the past. After heated discussions and trying out many different methods that never quite seemed to please the Swedish maestro's ear, they transferred the album onto magnetic tape and then cut the Vinyl lacquers from the tape itself to create a warm, powerful, yet dynamic masterpiece.

This Remixed & Remastered version is now available in the form of their 'Connoisseur Edition' of In Cauda Venenum (Swedish Version) on black double Vinyl.
