12.Without light, I am
by Matthias Mineur (07/02) Glenn Danzig polarizes the masses. Either you love him or you hate him, no inbetween. Nothing is less bothersome for the American than meaniglessness. His walk on the wire between cult and cheesyness is once again confirmed on his new album "I luciferi"- content-dripping lyrics shine, here are some examples: "kiss the skull", "Naked witch", "Halo goddess bone". Don't be fooled by the master's choice of words. "Wicked pussycat" is just as little reprehensible as "Angel blake" though the titles might suggest such an interpretation. But this is exactly one of Danzig's strenghts: Those who think they understand him will be proven wrong the next moment. Love him or hate him but you won't be able to ignore him.
