by Sonja Angerer (03/07) Schandmaul chose the "New Backstage" in Munich for the recordings of the live albun and DVD. A homecoming concert is of course always the easiest way to get the party started: 70 minutes of music recorded with six cameras and in 5.1.Dolby-Surround mix. The archaic power of their mixture of traditional instruments, mythic lyrics and powerful rock was perfectly caught and the careful layout with some nice post-production effects does the rest. Lovely additional material like a quiz, a presentation of the band members, lyrics and about one hour of backstage material rounds off the home-cinema experience. All hits of the Bavarians are included such as "Walpurgisnacht", "Dein Anblick" or "Die goldene Kette" as well as a new version of " Willst du?" featuring In-Extremo singer Michael Rhein on both the CD and the DVD version. In the fifth year of their existence Schandmaul show that they have the potential for at least another five - respectum maximum!
