by Patrick Beier (13.04.2007) Hellyeah? Five musicians, three bands? Creative collision of acoustic size? You're damn right! Hellyeah consist of Vinnie Paul (drums) of Pantera and Damageplan fame, Chad Gray (vocals) and Greg Tribbett (guitar) from Mudvayne, as well as Tom Maxwell (guitar) and Jerry Montano (bass) from Nothingface. This collaboration based on a high technical level presents the best elements of the mentioned bands - with vocals that spread with incredible intensity over the songs. Infectious, grooving guitars, paired with a pumping bass and a drummer waltzing everything down. I can't tell you what's the idea behind this but the result bursts for power. This unbelievable energy has such an extreme "Fuck off"-attitude that I haven't experienced in a long time. What is this? A super hero band in Metal? Probably because some U.S. magazines already speak of the ultimate Metal-Supergroup! My tip for all of you out there.
