by Jürgen Tschamler (01.10.2007) There had already been rumours that for the new Wankers album there had a lot of things been happening. Yes, the Wankers are phatter than ever but also slightly different than expected. It cannot be denied that the V 8 Wankers are among the heaviest KickAss-bands in Germany and also have a lot of fans from the Metal genre. On "Hell on wheels", the guys around chief-wanker, Lutz Vegas, present themselves less speedy, but more powerful, with more groove and simply heavier. There was no doubt that the Speed had to be reduced at some point in the house of V8W but that they would do so tightly is simply admirable. Of course, the band still has some a Speed shell in store, just listen to the superb "Hollow legs", the edgy "Bloody knuckles" and the Speed killer, "We control R'n'R"! On the title track, I have almost tipped over, though, this mid-tempo song sounds exactly like AC/DC! The ass-kicking "What me worry?" sounds like Cocknoose. Hell! Especially in the guitar section, there have been a lot of changes, yet only for the better!
