Let's celebrate the anniversary of one of the best metal Albums of the early 2000s. With HEATHENREEL, ELVENKING created a timeless masterpiece.

It is well known that Italy, in addition to pizza and pasta, also has top-notch metal bands to offer. After the commercially successful Rhapsody, Lacuna Coil, and Labyrinth, more and more hopeful newcomers are emerging from our neighboring country. This includes Elvenking, who, unlike many of their colleagues, have not dedicated themselves to melodic and bombastic speed metal, but place a lot of value on their own sound.

The quintet uses a fusion of hard-hitting, almost thrashy metal, enriched with folkloric and medieval influences. Elvenking can be best compared to Skyclad, the British pioneers of this musical movement. The composition of Heathenreel is very exciting and allows for new details and nuances to be discovered with each listen, ensuring that not a single moment of boredom arises.
