by Markus Wosgien (16.04.2008) The quintet from Kassel, Germany has rocked themselves into quite some cult status and musically easily equals the established Death Metal legends. They have consciously always done without a record deal, booking agents and plead for the underground. It worked perfectly and on their fifth album meanwhile they are at their very best again. The songs are very detailed and they easily mix Black Metal riffs, Blastbeats and short Grindcore attacks into their songs. Still, melodies are an important element which adds a certain Swedish flair to the compositions. Variation is provided, too and also the sound pushes you against the wall with full force. The mix was provided by Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmertry, Sonic Syndicate, et al) who provided the band with a clean, powerful soundscape. Beside the catchy "Apollo", especially the German songs, "Das GrΓΌne fΓΌhrt ins Schwarze", and the rocky title track, "Hausgeister" have to be highlighted, rounding off a perfect Death Metal album.
