13.Sie kam zu mir am Morgen
by Matthias Mader (27.06.2007) What an adequate title! With "Härter als der Rest", Lemmy-fellow Jörn and his fellows release their first album completely made up of original songs. As we know, the Kneipenterroristen are the oldest German Onkelz-cover band (founded in 1989), frequently recommended by Matthias "Gonzo" Röhr himself. The musicians in the band are no newcomers to the scene and have played e.g. in Torment, Paragon and Weinhold. These experiences, as well as their sense for some catchy refrains, can be heard by alcohol-consume-inspired songs, like "Endlich wieder Wochenende", "Holstenritter" and "Was lange gärt". My personal favourite is the opening title song, "Härter als der Rest", that sounds as if it was drawn off the "Ace of spades" album in the last second: pure, honest High Energy Rock. Live on stage the Kneipenterroristen have always been a guarantee for perfect entertainment, but their first album completely without Onkelz-songs clearly proves that the band has a future in the studio, too.
