by Jürgen Tschamler (14.09.2007) Revolution Mother features no less than Skate legend, Mike Vallely. He founded this band two years ago and released the EP with the programmatic title, "Enjoy the ride". Which provided the band with a lot of attention and success. After several line-up changes, the quartet now returns with a killer album. Stylistically, this band is not easy to pigeonhole, the revealed influences come from somewhere between Suicidal Tendencies with a heavy Hardcore-side to it and a high energy Rock'n'Metal brew. Raw, edgy and very heavy, the riffs are blown right into your face. Mike's vocals are charismatic but very fierce, too. The end result reminds me a bit of the tough Louisiana-sound living by its frenetic anger. "Glory bound" is an album between the styles but very, very powerful and rough. Absolutely recommendable to all those who look for an uncommercial sound. A true killer!
