by Oliver Kube (20.03.2008) On their third album, the guys from Clenze, Germany present themselves generally rougher and more high energy than ever before. The overtaxed and sympathetically harsh scream-song, "Nachtbaden" as well as the driving forward "Nitro" and the nervously rocking "Wenn der Regen" are but a few songs provided with this new attitude. Rarely, like in the dreamy "Vollidiot", the melodic 80s-trbute, "Liebeslied" and in parts also in the atmospheric "Du bist wie du bist", e.g., the guys shift some gears back in terms of aggression. But no matter if loud and heavy or smooth and melancholic: singer Sebastian Madsen still likes to place himself right beside the tone. But that's okay because the awry vocals perfectly fit the lurching sound of the frontman and his two brothers, Johannes and Sascha on guitar and drums as well as Niko Maurer (bass) and Folkert Jahnke (keyboards). On "Frieden im Krieg" better than ever. The limited edition features a bonus song and a video DVD.
