by Oliver Kube (03.02.2009) These gentlemen are determined - to attack you with an overwhelming and mighty sound barrage aimed at you already on "Whiteout", the first, Sludge-drenched song on their third album which is also their international debut. Regarding power and complexity of this track, the Canadians could easily keep up with genre kings Mastodon. But that's not all - the complete CD is totally convincing: the great and heavily doomy title song, for example, "Capsized", leaning towards Stoner Rock, but being a bit too fast and dynamic for that in the end... So, if you dig Mastodon, but also some more alternative sounds Γ  la High On Fire or atmospheric stuff such as Neurosis: you really have to check out this one. The only little shortcoming on this album: sometimes, J. Drummond's vocals are drowned a bit by the guitar thunderstorm, but you really can live with that.
