Whenever Firewind released another new album in the past almost 20 years, fans were not only thrilled by the exceptional guitar playing of Gus G. (of Ozzy Osbourne, Arch Enemy, Dream Evil fame), but also by the respective singer of the band. Apart from the amazing riffs, hooks, and solos of guitar virtuoso Gus, it's also the fantastic vocal melodies that cause a sensation as significant components within every Firewind song. And nothing has changed in this regard on the current self-titled album 'Firewind', quite the opposite: Newcomer Herbie Langhans (of Avantasia, Radiant, Seventh Avenue, among others) adds his charismatic voice to each of the ten new tracks, enhancing them with an impressive expressiveness.
