by Matthias Becker (19.01.2007) The cure over 30 songs in 155 minutes is supposed by this Festival-DVD of the Post-Punk-heroes. Songs from the '81-album, "Faith" ("The drowing man"), the depressive '82-piece, "Pornography" ("A strange day") and "Never enough" played live on the June 23rd, 1990 at the Glastonbury Festival for the first time is presented with optical support here. The contents don't reach the level of the '87-concert film, "Live in Orange", alone for the underexposed report material of the fans who provided the flood of pictures from nine gigs on the European tour. Armed with handy cams and dilemma digitals the makers looked for every possible view including backstage material simplifying every charms by their amateurish abilities. Still, the DVD has its plus with the seldom performed songs and suggests a must-have feeling among the devoted fans. With few chart hits and without extended interviews this films has a clear focus on the music. And by the return of guitarist Porl Thomson it becomes clear that these night owls are still very far from their own end.
