by Lothar Landt (29.09.2006) Mob Rules have long become one of the leading Melodic Metallers in Germany. That also shows on their fifth album, "Ethnolution A.D." on which the sextet again improved. Heart of the album is the awesome, 23-minute title track. Divided into six parts, Mob Rules deal with the clash of the cultures provided with a thrilling, musical treatment. The compositions of the Northern Germans are sophisticated and varied as well as added by great solo parts. Singer Klaus Dirks has a great voice with a high re-reconnaissance value, the guitars are edgy and the pompous keyboards greatly loosen up also the up-tempo-tracks like "New horizon". The final "Better morning" is the obligatory ballad starting with sweet arrangements and creating a thrilling atmosphere. "Ethnolution A.D." is an ambitious album with which Mob Rules perfectly serve their fans. Very convincing!
