by Anne-K. Fricke (08.04.2008) After a longer break, the Power Metallers, Human Fortress return more powerful and more Metallic than expected. Despite several line up changes, the Hanover based Germans again convince with their third album. Already the opener, "Contrast" is an absolute hitter. With "Borders of insanity", the guys really kick off and with the calmer track, "Falling leaves", the band rounds off their melodic profile. Sonically, the band especially convinces by their combination of fierce riffs and powerful vocals reawakening the intensity of the live shows on several festivals over the last years. Together with guitarist, Frank Swade, the new singer, Carsten Frank (ex-Galloglas) represents the perfect symbiosis for good Metal. And drummer Arndt Krone and Bassist Pablo Tammen deliver the adequate rhythmical foundation for the songs. With this great combination, the guys can easily set forth the success of their debut album, "Lord of earth and heavens heir" and the sophomore album, "Defenders of the crown".
