by Michael Hilscher (null) Lacrimosa serve us their finest and most lavish album ever with "Elodia". 14 months of work and a total of 187 musicians (including the London Symphony Orchestra) participated in the realization of this conceptalbum. An atmospheric masterpiece which doesn't have to hide behind classic pioneers like Deep Purple, Rage or Secret Discovery. I could go on into raptures about this for forever, the compositions are just too multi-layered and too good to be true. Tilo just adapts his voice to the specific atmosphere of the songs and it always fits the pieces like a glove and forms a very emotional bqackground. A very good example for this is "Halte mich". In short: Lacrimosas new album is a must buy for all fans and music lovers who like to take a look over the edge of the plate!
