During the hiatus of System of a Down, the members of the band found time to work on their respective solo careers. Frontman Serj Tankian made his debut as a solo musician with his highly anticipated Album 'Elect The Dead,' which became a significant success in 2007. Tankian played almost every instrument himself, except for drums and strings. The work is impressive both vocally and musically and can easily be compared to the sound of System of a Down and keep up with it.
