by Matthias Mader (01.02.2008) I've always had a way with complex Speed Metal by Toxik, so the European premiere of the four New Yorkers on 23. Mai 1988 on the Dynamo Open Air Festival in front of more than 20.000 people was an absolute must for me. This legendary show (short after the release of their debut album, "World circus" and long before the sophomore effort, "Think this") is now being released on DVD (filmed by a camera from the side of the stage). For fans probably even more interesting is the also included Toxik's Warm-Up gig two days earlier in the legendary Dynamo Club. The regular set was added by two surprising covers, "Victim of changes" of Judas Priest and a killer version of the Scorpions-classic, "He's a woman (She's a man)", on the DVD cover funnily called "Evil woman". Unfortunately, there is no other bonus material. At least a short band history or an interview would have been nice…
