Sick, although not as drug-blurred as their main band EyeHateGod, Outlaw Order cross their Black Sabbath Roots with aggresive, sludgy Crustcore. Inspired by alchohol and firearms!

    The enforcer

by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (29.10.2008) That’s what I call perfect timing: in the info sheet, the record label compares this irate and rage-loaded release with the unleashed force of hurricane Katrina. Well, the inhabitants of the affected coast area have just survived Gustav... The reference to EyeHateGod is unnecessary (comparable with the similarities between The Abyss and Hypocrisy). The aggressive Black Sabbath sound of Outlaw Order is as sweaty, humid, and feverish as the Louisiana swamps. Spiced up with Crust and Punk, these Sludge chunks are less monotonous than those of the main band, and catchier, in spite of their hatefully contorted vocals. Which doesn’t mean "Dragging down the enforcer" is based on danceable, straight rhythms ("Siege mentality"). So far, an ominous criminal past / presence in HipHop, Hardcore or Black Metal was seen as a scene-worthy entrance ticket - these guys are on parole and play with that image. Maybe that’ll help, musically, they’re so good they don’t need it to boost interest, anyway.
