by Manuela Liefländer (September 2004) After the quite pop orientated release, "Paris Kills", a good two years ago, the Finns are finally back with a rocky album. Some may call this anachronism discovering influences of Alphaville, Duran Duran or Bauhaus. But the flair of the 80s has become a musical continuum meanwhile that perfectly fits the Eyes. Not at least because of the re-reconnaissance value of their melodies the band manages to tie people of all ages and scenes to their music. With their new album and a major deal in their back this should be the case in Europe, too, soon. "You wanna rock?" asks singer Jyrki 69 in the beginning of "Lost Boys" and goes off in dirty sleaze rock manner just to breathe his lyrics into the microphone shortly after. This much is sure, these guys have a sense for ear-wigs!
