by Jürgen Tschamler (July 2004) If youo have missed to get yourself the two most important Girlschool records, yet, there are no more excuses now: the two classics of the first serious female NWOBHM band are being re-released provided with a number of bonus tracks! "Demolition" contains 9 of them: rare single b-sides and exclusive songs form the BBC "Friday Rock Show" of the 1.8.80! "Hit and run" sees also 9 bonus tracks, two of them being of the MotΓΆrhead collaboration "St. Valentines Day" MLP and four of them live tracks of the Richard Skinner BBC show of the 26.1.81. Mentioned have to be the demo versions of "Nothing to lose" and "Not for sale", especially because they reveal some differences tio the later album versions. And of course it has to be mentioned that "Hit and run" is now being released for the first time on c.d.. In their time, Girlschool were in their heydays and also live hardly beatable. It was for a good reason that Lemmy loved to take them with him on tour. So, as I mentioned above, no more excuses, get your copy now - alone the bonus tracks are worth the money! Two must have classics. (JΓΌrgen Tschamler - July 2004)
