"Dedication" CD by Raised Fist

by Jürgen Tschamler (10/02) Like on the predecessor, "Ignoring the guidelines", Daniel Bergstand has produced the new album of Raised Fist, and that was surely a good decision. This album burns! An album free of melodies and compensating 15 angry attacks in almost 37 minutes. The Metal ingredients were further reduced and the Hardcore in Sick of it All-vein given more space. Raised Fist don't make the mistake to repeat themselves in every song, no they approached the whole thing very variable without injuring their roots. "Ilustration of desperation" even goes that far to be oriented in trendy Metalcore ideas without resulting in a commercial song. The complete opposite is the case, despite Machine Head¦s influence. It's an influence that pops up al through the album and heavily stamps the style of Raised Fist. Yet, still "Dedication" is a pure Hardcore album combining anger, hate, aggression and technical perfection to a precise, deadly mix. Like a blizzard, tracks like "Between the demons", "Get this right!" or "Silence is the key" will hit your ears and leave a bloody battlefield.
