"Dark side of the moon - Redux" CD by Waters, Roger

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of 'The Dark Side Of The Moon', Roger Waters announces the release of his tribute to the original, 'The Dark Side Of The Moon Redux'.
Waters says, 'When we recorded the songs for the Lockdown Sessions, the 50th anniversary of the release of The Dark Side Of The Moon was approaching. It occurred to me that The Dark Side Of The Moon could be a suitable candidate for a similar reworking, partly as a tribute to the original, but also to address the political and emotional message of the entire album. I discussed this with Gus and Sean, and after we stopped laughing and shouting at each other 'You must be crazy', we decided to go for it. It turned out really great, and I look forward to everyone being able to hear it. It is not a replacement for the original, which is of course irreplaceable. But it is a way for the 79-year-old man to look back over the past fifty years and say, to quote a poem of mine about my father, 'We did our best, we kept his faith, our father would have been proud of us'. And it is also a way for me to pay tribute to a recording that Nick, Rick, Dave and I are rightly very proud of.
