by Matthias Mineur (03/07) At the end of the day Iron Maiden can do whatever they want. Since the return of Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith everything turns into gold. "Brave New World" - although only an average Maiden opus - sealed the triumphant return to the big stages of the world. The DVDs "Rock In Rio" and "Visions Of The Beast" became best sellers of undreamt extent. So now it's "Dance Of Death" the new studio album, again an album that will delight all Maiden fans. Not because it features spectacular songs or sounds, neither because Maiden opens new stylistic gates. The recipe for success is their uniqueness. All the songs have exclusive Maiden qualities, the three guitarists fire salve after salve of Melodic Metal and Dickinson sings like a siren. That's how we want this band, nothing else. Who wants them to change the world with every new album? Works of genius can only be done once a decade.
