by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (15.05.2009) Established 2008 - and getting media accolades for the very first demo right away? The Austrians are anything but young and unexperienced newbies... Axe man Maier and bassist Hilzensauer were long-time members of unsuccessful, but great Stygma IV - until their drummer had to quit due to recurring back problems. Vocalist Richie Krenmaier hasn't joined the Crimson Cult, so it's really and audibly a different band - and no try to pull the Legion Of The Damned thing (new name, new start). The combo hasn't changed genres, though: they still deliver melodic, riff-laden, not too traditional, sophisticated Power Metal - with just one guitar. Maybe it is bizarre, but the chorus of "Land of the crimson night" is more leaning towards old Pearl Jam than towards Iron Maiden - yet, noone would revoke the Metal license of these Sabbath fans!
