by Jürgen Tschamler (02.10.2008) Without any doubt, the two albums "The end of sanctuary" and "The nature of evil" are among the highlights of the numerous Sinner releases. But with "Crash & burn", Messrs. Sinner, Wolters, Leim and Sperling do deliver a true Heavy Rock smasher. No fillers, just killers, is their motto. It’s no secret the boys are heavily into Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott, and "Connection" sounds like that 110% . But songs like "Heart of darkness" or "Unbreakable", too, convince immediately with their versatility and catchy riffs. Speed Metal juggernaut "Fist to face" unveils the rougher side of the band, yet still doesn’t rule out all melody. Anyway, it couldn’t be stressed enough that the terrific tunes and rollicking riffs on this album make for a fantastic musical mixture. Mat’s great Rock voice adds further harmony to the material - Heavy Rock Fans, go get a copy of "Crash & burn"! Certainly the best Sinner album so far.
