by Markus Eck (29.01.2009) Arkadius and his Metal maniacs have returned to their stylistic top form - and the nine new compositions on their ninth studio album bristle with ideas, technical enthusiasm, and versatility. In the course of the years, Arkadius has become a genuine multi-instrumentalist: the tireless creative spirit has not only recorded his bellowing throaty vocals plus very emotional clear singing, but all guitars, keyboards, and even a banjo, too. "Crógacht" is an epic, first-class emotional output drenched with heart and passion anyway. Corresponding to the lyric concept of this new release, the trio hired additional musicians to add zest to their mixture of cheery Celtic Folk and energetic Pagan Metal. And all these guests deliver: Highland bagpipes, tin flutes, excellent female vocals and a terrific big choir (Luisen Vocal-Ensemble Berlin) make for a glorious, wonderfully intense performance.
