"Cosmic Race" CD by Scanner

The time has come for a new Scanner album after almost a decade. As the previous discography almost inevitably demands, 'The Cosmic Race' has become a concept album: Survival on Earth has become increasingly difficult, natural disasters are increasing, and military conflicts have reached their peak, with large parts of the continents being nuclear contaminated. Life is now concentrated in a few megacities, and the tightness and heat within them have become unbearable. The Scanner (a mixture of human and android) gathers a group of people to bring them to a habitable planet called Terrion in another galaxy. The long journey ends successfully. However, even in the new world, people must defend themselves against aliens and invaders from other civilized planets and start all over again. They want to seize their second chance and do better than on Earth. However, as there are doubters and renegades among them who resist the new community, the Scanner has developed a system that can identify these renegades during their nightly dream phases. They find themselves in a Twilight Zone. Ultimately, they are bound to giant totem poles in a trance, where dreams and reality fight against each other until they are cleansed.
