Dave Wyndorf and his boys must have had a lot of fun revamping and upgrading "Last patrol" with new song work 2014 and release it as "Milking the stars: a re-Imagining of last patrol"... And now, Monster Magnet go back even further, to 2010, to "Mastermind". Even if you may know this album, you won't be prepared for the experience unleashed by "Cobras and fire (The mastermind redux)" - it's just like the "Apocalypse Now" redux version: a real monster. You have just barely discovered well-known elements - just to hear them thrashed down by roaring psychedelic orgies. Wyndorf often focuses on one single song fragment only to use it for a ride to sound Nirvana. This is nothing like straight stadium Rock... This is the mind fuck of the year!
