2006 was the year it all begun: A group of top-class musicians and Rock stars met in London, to celebrate a night of live music together. The occasion was the charity event The Sunflower Jam.

In 2014 was "The Jam" dedicated to Jon Lords music. This night developed to an absolute historical Rock moment: A complete orchestra, a director - Paul Mann - who was crazy enough, to wonderfully arrange a by 50 years musical creativity formed repertoire and to make it an unforgettable night for lots of old friends.

Tragically Jon Lord died in 2012 - just a few weeks after his shortly before completed release, which counts as the very first liaison of Classic and Rock: The β€žConcerto For Group and Orchestra" - the same composition, Purple already performed in the Royal Albert Hall in 1969.
