11.Nowhere to run
by Jürgen Tschamler (21.04.2008) With their eights album, "Catch 22", the guys around band leader, Peter TΓ€gtgren confused their fans quite a bit. For ones, they were not the old Hypocrisy enough, fort he others it was the logical next step for the band. Especially newer fans like "Catch 22" a lot while the early fans had to cope with riff structures and news that didnβt quit fit the former releases. Now, the icon went over the album again and re-recorded the vocals, remixed and re-mastered the complete album and spent a bonus track and three video clips, too. Especially the vocals make the new material much more Death orientated and the riffs are even greater than ever. In burners, like "Hatred" and "Turn the page", these new elements seem like hammers on the nasal bone. The bonus track, "Nowhere to run" is rather melodic and convinces with tremendous groove. The three live clips are from the Summerbreeze Festival 2001, "Don`t judge me", "A public puppet" and "Destroyed". A high-value alternative for the original album.
