by Oliver Kube (11.07.2007) That Beastie Boys-chief, MCA alias Adam Yauch has always been a huge Bad Brains fan is well known by all fans of the HipHop giants. Now, the New Yorker made his dream come true: he made a comeback of the heroes of his youth possible by producing their new album. The three furious, opening tracks, "Give thanks and praises", "Jah people" and "Pure love" leave no doubt that the Experimental-Hardcore guys around frontman HR, who came together in original line-up, are really serious about their comeback. The nervously vellicating noise is traditionally enriched by Reggae-songs, like the super relaxed "Roll on" and the cool grooving "Jah love", e.g., that all have true hit potential. Furthermore, Yauch added a sound that obviously orientated in that of their heydays with monumental releases, "I against I" (1986). A very well done, extremely wonderful, and all the way authentic comeback.
