Due to a line up change (only Grutle Kjellson and Ivar Bjornson are the only left-overs of the original line up) Enslaved disassociated themselves from the almost opera-like sounds on the last album and let their music go through a total make-over: aggressive, pushing and full of anger, that's what the 4 guys are! The songs are simple but arranged for several voices and equiped with melodic leads. The production is agreeably clattering and genre-like. The only negative aspect about the album is the short running time of 40 minutes.
