by Julius Müller (09/03) After 10 years it is finally time for the Canadians to rise! The official debut is a fucking bombshell! New kick-ass facetts spice up the current tedious guitar-music scene. Sure....there are parallels. Refused, At-the-Drive-In, Sparta, No Means No or the good-old Dubwar. There is also the occassional Emo moment and some Punkability. The first thing that comes to mind is: Screamo. But that's a bit too superficial. Listen again...there is more. Billy Talent are brutal but not aggressive. Monstrous but not artifical. Catchy but not cheesy. Probably the newcomer of the year...
