'Stratovarius' are one of the most influential and successful power metal bands in the world and have established themselves as one of the greats of the metal scene. With 16 studio albums and eleven Top 5 rankings in their native country Finland, the Finns acquired their highest chart entry in Germany at # 27 with their latest studio album "Eternal" (2015). Already founded over 30 years ago under the name "Blackwater", the band, whose name is a combination of Stratocaster and Stradivarius, released its debut album "Fright Night" in 1989.
