by Andreas Reissnauer (20.04.2009) Switzerland. High mountains, cold lakes, yummy chocolate, and those weird alpenhorns. Did I mention all attractions? Nope. Not exactly - there's also Celtic Frost, Coroner and other toughies hailing from the Alps. Granted, it has been a bit quiet there as far as the really extreme front is concerned, but for some years now, Mumakill have been trying to change this. After numerous split albums and singles, the quartet's first full album is released by Relapse Records, the specialist in brutal assortments. As is tradition on this label, you are 27 times under heavy attack: influenced by genre greats Napalm Death, Terrorizer, Nasum, and Brutal Truth, Grindcore's the law, enacted by Mumakill. Pure aggression, a ceaseless blast beat barrage, hefty riffs, and vocals like a threatening pitbull - so far, "Behold the failure" is one of the best genre releases 2009! A Must for you Grindsters.
