"Archetype" CD by Fear Factory

Yes! "Archetype" is the long awaited freeing sweep that all Fear Factory fans were hoping for after the critically acclaimed predecessor, "Digimortal". Songs, like "Slave labor", "Drones", the exceptional "Act of god" or the title track even remind me of glorious "Demanufacture"-days without sounding somewhat dated. On the contrary: Fear Factory 2004 sound fresh, motivated and in this constitution are more important than ever for the scene. Especially in the first part of the album you have hit following hit, one masterpiece chases the next. In the further course, they experiment a bit more ("Ascension") and present some more melodic material, too. "Bite the hand that bleeds" and "Human shields" are emotional tracks with goose flesh guarantee that perfectly loosen up the very heavy sound of theirs.
