by Oliver Kube (03.04.2007) Main focus in the new project, Thought Chamber, for most Prog Metal fans should be Enchant-frontman, Ted Leonard, who again delivers an outstanding vocal performance here. Especially in "A legend's Avalon" and "Balance of one" which in terms of the time changes are very demandingly arranged convinces with the virtuoso variation of Kansas' Steve Walsh and Queensrÿche's Geoff Tate at their heydays. Still, with guitarist Michael Harris, who made himself known as a solo artist as well as a sideman for Vitalij Kuprij, the band has another pro in the line up. Not only his solos are like of a young god, also his riffs are absolute world class. No matter if gloomy and heavy, like in "God of oblique" and "Sacred treasure", romantically playful and a bit mystical ("Silent shore") or changing between ballad-like and galopping , like in the furious final, "A mind beyond" - this man lives up to Dream Theater's John Pettrucci and the young Yngwie Malmsteen.
