by Lisa Hofer (19.07.2007) The wait is over. The secret around the voice of the new singer, Anette Olzon, is lifted with a highlight single making lots of appetite for the upcoming masterpiece "Dark passion play". "Amaranth" enchants the listener already with the first tunes and progresses to a demanding ear candy. The high colour of Anette's voice adds wings to this song, it lifts proudly into the air and looks down on the history of the band only to fly into new spheres. Tuomas' great music is genuinely framed by the vocals and unfolds its complete potential. The single will be available in two different versions that, except the song "Amaranth", don't have anything in common. Different orchestral versions of the tracks of the new album, as well as interesting demo versions refine the single. Furthermore, you get the wonderful "While your lips are still red", the title song of the Finnish "Lieska", sung by Marco Hietala. So, fans and collectors: watch out!
