by Matthias Mader (23.01.2008) Welcome to Punk Rock City, Garmisch! After three self-released discs, Noopinion release their first album "Allegro" on Modern Noise. The four have come around, though: as one of the first Western Punk bands ever, the four played a complete tour in China in 2006. And this experience becomes evident already in the fist chords of the opener, "Reaching out". Noopinion kick off with an enormous pace without playing faster than their skills would allow. Stylistically, they clearly orientate in the American West Coast Style. Melodic Hardcore with always singalong-compatible choruses and a small portion of Euro Punk Rock. A competent performance with reminiscences to bands, like Good Riddance, NOFX and Pennywise. A little, charming production with a warm production far from all Emo-, Metal- and Screamo-Core trends and fashions with the only weakness being the lacking variation.
