by Stefan Müller (10/01) "Absence of war does not mean peace". For me the album title of the year! Parallel, Impaled Nazarene appear in strengthened constitution. Although "Sir" Mika Luttinen got the prominent guitarist Alexi "Wildchild" Lahio on guitars for the predecessor, "Nihil", the songs never were above average. Mr. Lahio is out again, and see: suddenly, Impaled Nazarene are able to write really good songs. The Finns finally develop the right balance between catchy melodies and boundless aggression again, like celebrated on "Suomi finland perkele". Alone the title track is already one of my all-time favourites of Impaled Nazarene. The main difference is that the main emphasis in the mentioned classic lay on punky grounds, while "Absence of war does not mean peace" is clearly one thing: Metal! I think nobody would have anything against that ...
