by Adam Weishaupt (29.03.2010) In their native Finland, Indica are superstars already, with gold- and platinum-awarded singles and albums. "A way away" is the English debut of songstress Jonsu and her all-girl outfit - the band aims for the international market now which shouldn't be too difficult because the album is great. Nightwish band leader Tuomas Holopainen produced the peppy, versatile opus featuring symphonic tracks such as fantastic "Island of light", the balladesque "Children of frost", or fast and fabulous "Precious dark", but also melancholic songs like the first single "In passing", a wonderful, catchy, intoxicating gem. It is Jonsu's charismatic and totally unique voice which sets Indica apart from other bands. But the five extremely pretty Scandinavians can also rock, proven by the crispies "Scissor, paper, Rock" and "Straight and arrow".
