by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (27.09.2007) An absolute dream constellation: Asphyx-vocal icon, Martin van Drunen (ex-Pestilence, Comecon, Bolt Thrower), Gorefest's Ed Warby as the heart pacemaker and Dan Swanö, who beside the mix also provided guest vocals on "Ordered eastward". Further added by the two guitarists of Holland's first Death/Thrash band, Thanatos and their ex-bass-player, Theo. Three bold-headed – after his recovery, van Drunen is not one of them – and two long-haired become a massive competition for their own bands with this demo (21 min.). Lyrically, they deal with the East front of the second World War. An era that Martin had already dealt with on the killer, "M.S. Bismarck". That is what "General Winter" sets forth: fiercely, the cold crumbles up the body – just like the title tracks of the first two Asphyx-records and "Pages in blood – exploding there with little fever pushes. "Red wolves of Stalin" turns around the Speed relation and also the pumping "Advancing once more" is pure Death Metal! Swanö's comment: if this promo doesn't result in a record deal, I'll eat my laptop." Beware!
