by Markus Wosgien (July 2005) While Udo Dirkschneider satisfies his fans with several Accept shows on the usual festivals this summer, the clock of his main formation, U.D.O., just ticks on. As a teaser for the upcoming, tenth album, "Mission X" planned to be released on October 4, this is a 5-track-EP that is truly a hitter. Already the title track, "24/7" presents U.D.O. of their anthemnic side and lines up with classics, such as "Heart of gold". "Mean streets" on the other side is a classic midtempo groove track in "Balls to the walls"-vein that soon becomes an earwig. Following are three exclusive U.D.O. tracks consequently setting forth the high level. "Number for a number" is a great midtempo hymn with a classic U.D.O. chorus while "Scream killers" speeds it up again convincing with its great melody line. Dirschneider's vocals again provides goose flesh and you just enjoy that this original has lost nothing of his class and quality and. "Hardcore lover" rounds off the great EP, makes this a cult album and leaves you waiting mouth-watering for the upcoming album. (Markus Wosgien - July 2005)
